This Saturday, May 4, a tasting of Picpoul-de-Pinet and oysters from the Bassin de Thau took place on the square in front of the market halls of Sète.

L’AOP Picpoul-de-pinet and Mediterranean oysters launched their tour of the region's markets to promote their partnership and chose Sète to start, before going to Nîmes, Millau , Montpellier, Toulouse and Narbonne. At two euros for wine and oysters, the tasting was a popular success.

For Céleste Renault, head of the AOP Picpoul-de-pinet union, "this type of event makes it possible to connect producers (Jean-Luc Atienza, president of the Pomérols cellar, Claude Jourdan of the Félines Jourdan estate, Alicia Roques of Coquillages d’Oc and Vanessa Regnier of La Marseillaise, this Saturday) and connoisseurs, but also to introduce this combination of products".
