An exceptional bonus, increased to 1,900 euros for police officers and gendarmes working in Ile-de-France, will be paid by the State in compensation for their mobilization during the Olympic and Paralympic Games, announced Tuesday Gérald Darmanin.

"This bonus will be paid at several levels depending on each person's situation", writes the Minister of ;Interior in a letter addressed to all ministry agents.

Gérald Darmanin confirms in his letter the "100% mobilization", of the agents from July 26 to August 11 and the possibility of taking ten working days of leave for each agent between June 15 and September 15.

Thus, all agents who "have effectively limited their leave periods", during the event will receive a minimum bonus of 1,000 euros. The bonus is increased to 1,600 euros for police officers working in a department hosting an Olympic event, including French Polynesia where the surfing event will take place, as well as CRS and staff"displaced permanently as reinforcements".

Initially between 500 and 1500 euros

The maximum bonus of 1,900 euros will be paid to staff engaged in Ile-de-France and at the Paris police headquarters, as well as to border police officers mobilized in "Paris airports and international transport".

The police will receive the same amounts. This bonus was initially between 500 and 1,500 euros. Police unions mobilized to obtain 2,000 euros for all officers. To this bonus is added compensation of 50 euros per night for all police officers displaced for at least five days on security missions or in connection with the 2024 Olympics.

With childcare assistance

The Minister also commits to 100% payment of overtime, via a specific meter, which will be "uncapped and tax-exempt". The unions also demanded social support measures, in particular childcare.

The State will thus finance the "doubling of the universal service employment check", announces Gérald Darmanin, up to ;#39;at 350 euros per child for single mothers or fathers.
