More than 2,400 athletes representing 59 countries have chosen to prepare in Occitania for the Paris Olympics. Many internships are in progress or will begin in July. State of play.

Preparation courses for the Paris Olympics are intensifying in Occitania as the event approaches (July 26 & August 11) . With 76 Games Preparation Centers (CPJ) and 3 centers of sporting excellence, the Region has attracted numerous delegations.

More than 2,400 athletes representing 59 countries from 5 continents have chosen Occitanie to prepare for these Games, placing the region among the most sought after. In total, nearly 300 courses, many of which will take place in July.

Sevens rugby: training open to the public this Saturday in Font-Romeu

The French women's sevens rugby team is currently completing an altitude training course at the Font-Romeu site. A training session will be open to the public this Saturday, June 22 from 9:30 a.m. (free entry). The French modern pentathlon team will also be present at Creps until July.

Still in the OPs, Australian swimmers – leading nation in this discipline – have chosen the Arlette Franco Center in Canet to prepare until July.

Judokas and basketball players in Montpellier

In Montpellier, the French triathletes are continuing their preparation, as are the South African, Australian and New Zealand athletes at the Creps facilities where the tricolor judokas (boys only) are expected in July.< /p>

The French polo players are preparing at the Raoul Fonquerne aquatic center in Sète where a match against Montenegro is planned for July 1.

The Australian rugby players will arrive in July at the Yves-du-Manoir complex in Montpellier and the Chinese riders (BMX) at the Skatepark in Grammont.
