La préfecture de police de Paris avait envisagé de déplacer les boîtes des bouquinistes en vue de la cérémonie d’ouverture des Jeux olympiques le 26 juillet.

Emmanuel Macron asked the Minister of the Interior and the Paris police prefect that no bookseller on the banks of the Seine be forced to be displaced during the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games organized this summer in the capital, declared this Tuesday, February 3, the entourage of the Head of State.

A security device "adapted accordingly"

"Noting that no consensual and reassuring solution could be identified with these actors, (the president) expresses his attention to them considering that he “This is a living heritage of the capital,” said a source at the Elysée, adding that Emmanuel Macron requested that the security system be ' ;quot;adapted accordingly".

According to someone familiar with the matter, this "possible arbitration" on the number of spectators present on the banks of the Seine for the ceremony had already been taken into account by the Minister of the Interior, Gérald Darmanin, who should give details at the end of March on the entire system of security.
