The International Olympic Committee will distribute ten additional medals during the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
At the initiative of Frenchman Martin Fourcade and the COJO Athletes' Commission, ten medals will be distributed on August 9, 2024 at the Parc des Champions, located at the foot of the Eiffel Tower. However, these will not bear the seal of the Paris Games.
Reattributions after doping scandals
Ten athletes who participated in the Games in Sydney (2000), Beijing (2008) and London (2012) will be rewarded, sometimes more than twenty years after their sporting exploits.
