Where is it ?
The Parc des Champions is taking up residence in the Trocadéro gardens. Located at the foot of the Eiffel Tower, the place offers a choice setting.
When is it open ?
The Parc des Champions will be open to the public from this Monday, July 29th until Saturday, August 10th, from 4pm until the end of the evening.
However, it “will be closed on July 30th, August 2nd, 3rd and 4th. For even more celebration, it will open its doors exclusively at 12:00 p.m. on August 9 and 10, with a celebration of the athletes scheduled for 3:00 p.m., according to the official website of the Olympic Games.
What does it consist of?
The Parc des Champions is intended to welcome the public. It thus offers anyone the chance to "come and enjoy the excitement with friends or family, attend opening shows by extraordinary artists, and congratulate the best athletes from around the world who will come to present their medals after their competition", the site explains.
What is the program ?
Every day, a warm-up starting at 4 p.m. is scheduled, followed by an opening show. This Monday, July 29, at 5:30 p.m., the public will be able to attend the show, called Défilé, staged by the iconic choreographer Angelin Preljocaj.
Then, the previous day's Olympic medalists are celebrated at the Parc des Champions, then from 7 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., the major competitions are broadcast live.
