Parking place Aristide Briand: “This project is heresy”, José Bové reaffirms his support for Bancs Publics

L’ancien Eurodéputé a profité de son passage à Sète pour enregistrer une vidéo de soutien, en direction des opposants au projet de parking souterrain.

Former Europe Ecology MEP José Bové was in Sète, this Friday, April 5, for the preview screening of a film retracing his fight against tobacco lobbies in Brussels. The anti-globalization activist took the opportunity to take a look at the construction site of the future car park at Place Aristide Briand, and to reaffirm his support for the Bancs Publics collective which opposes the project.

"I signed the petition anonymously at the very beginning. I was present during certain mobilizations. I am still at their side in this fight against a project which is a heresy, carried by a mayor who has a most questionable attitude with insults and threats. I still have the hope that this project will be abandoned one day or another!", José Bové told us. Who took the opportunity to record a short video, then broadcast by Bancs Publics.
