Pétanque: the Gard cadets dominate the debates and win the regional title

In Revel, where the Occitanie championships took place, the Gard juniors and cadets won their ticket to the French championships with, as a bonus, the regional title for Sami Comes-Rahali, Jérémy Part and Abdel Merizi-Volkmann .

In any competition, there are sure values. At Revel, on May 25 and 26, the Gard teams from the junior and junior categories, which distinguished themselves, were part of it. Others, on the other hand, missed the boat and qualified for the French championships on July 13 and 14 in Pontarlier (Doubs).

In Haute-Garonne, the very selective "swisss" system has proven itself, with four ranking games which qualified for the decisive round of 16 for the ;rsquo;access to "France".

Juniors: no Gardois in the French championship!

There will be no Gard training in Pontarlier. Théo Bernard, Antonio Cortes and Jean-Gaston Santiago (2 wins out of 4) did not make the cut. Lorenzo Mombelli, Paul Bine and Toni Rigon failed 6-13 in the round of 16 against Bauer-Dessenddier-Alves (Aude).

Defeat also in 8th for the Gard champions Dylan Rayne-Langlade, Justin Divol and Henri Impériali, 12-13 against Pare-Cadilhac-Mathieu (Haute-Garonne) after leading 9-2…

Cadets : a deserved coronation for a shock trio

Sami Comes-Rahali, Jérémy Part and Abdel Merizi-Volkmann have topped the category and may have great ambitions for the French championship.

Comes-Rahali, author, as shooter, of a 13 out of 15 in the final of the Gard championship, was… the pointer who set the table for two days for his friends!

After a three out of four in the classification group, the Gard bulldozers continued: 13-1 in the eighth against Marechal-Cousinier-Reille (Hérault), 13-0 in the quarter and half and a final folded in seven goal throws in front of Aubert-Saranyarat-Flores (Haute-Garonne) and won 13-2 (0-1, 4-1, 4-2, 7-2, 10-2, 12-2, 13 -2).

The Gard champions Luciano Rey, Kenzo Hatchadourian and Julien Persia, after two initial defeats, then signed two clear victories to finish in 16th place, return to the eighth and lose 13-9 against the first in the ranking, Ortega-Linares-Salasc (Haute-Garonne).
The other Gard trio won one match out of four in the classification phase.

Minimes: a quarter-final and a ticket for the French championship

The Gard champions Léo Martinez, Sohan Boujellouli and Timeo Imbert, impressive in calm and concentration, with a three out of four in the first phase, masterfully negotiated their round of 16 for the place in the French championship . They dominated Lasserre-Ghiom-Faremiro (Ariège) 13-7.

Their road ended in the quarter-final with a 2-13 defeat against Briols-Briols-Baptiste (Haute-Garonne). The other two Gard trios did not win any ranking games.
