Pierre Palmade affair: the comedian will be tried for involuntary injuries after the road accident he caused in 2023

The comedian Pierre Palmade will be tried for involuntary injuries for the serious accident he caused in February 2023 under the influence of narcotics in Seine-et-Marne, announced the Melun prosecutor this Monday, May 27.

He faces a sentence of 14 years in prison

The investigating judge dismissed the artist for involuntary injuries having resulted in total incapacity for work of more than and less than three months, the prosecutor wrote in a press release, without repeating the prosecution's requisitions in favor of ;a trial for homicide and involuntary injuries.

Pierre Palmade faces fourteen years in prison and a fine of 200,000 euros.

One of the victims had lost the child she was carrying

The actor caused a serious road accident on February 10, 2023 in Seine-et-Marne. The latter was driving under the influence of drugs and hit another car, causing several injuries. Following this collision, one of the victims lost the baby she was carrying.

Heard at the end of September 2023 about the accident, the actor spoke of a black hole : "Unfortunately, I am still a victim of my total amnesia", he explained to the judge. Nevertheless, he claimed to understand the seriousness of his act: "It’is monstrous. I ruined the life of a family. I go to sleep and get up with that, sincerely", he declared.
