Alexandre Villaplane's footballing destiny began as a child in the dusty, sun-drenched streets of Algiers, with casual dribbling and games with friends. At first a perfect escape from a miserable family life marked by paternal violence, little Alexandre then quickly took to the game of ball and showed willingness until joining Gallia sports in Algiers, in 1916 , at the age of 12 and become captain of the French team.
But his fame and his taste for easy money will make him sink until he becomes an SS officer… out of opportunism…
