The Nice owner Richard Stornello had hired a henchman to try to scare his tenant.

Richard Stornello seems exhausted. This owner from Nice has been going through a real ordeal for several weeks. To overcome financial difficulties, he decided to rent out his 60m² apartment, located on the Promenade des Anglais, in Nice, for 2000 euros per month. According to him, he would never have received rent, even though a lease would have been signed on February 10, reports BFMTV.  And while the landlord wanted to be paid in cash, the tenants refused. The latter would also have changed the lock just after taking over the premises.

The landlord, very angry, then decided to take justice into his own hands. He allegedly hired a man for 100 euros to come and intimidate the tenants. The latter allegedly physically threatened the man and threatened to rape his wife.

The mayor of Nice arrested

When contacted, the police intervened. The owner was taken into custody and brought back the next day. "I spent 48 hours in police custody at the hole", deplores Richard Stornello.

Placed under judicial supervision, he no longer has the right to approach his apartment, or even to speak to the tenant. He now lives in a studio loaned to him by a friend.

Without a solution, Richard Stornello decided to alert the city's mayor this Thursday March 14 during one of his trips. "We'll take your details and I'll come see for myself", promised Christian Estrosi.
