Today, Spiripontans are more mobilized than during the last municipal election. In the first round, in 2020, 3,111 voters voted out of 7,287 registered, or 44.29%. The vote took place in the middle of a pandemic. In 2014, the participation rate in the first round was 73.22 %.
Remember that three lists are in the running in this partial: the outgoing mayor Claire Lapeyronie faces the RN candidate, Emmanuel Le Pargneux, as well as the apolitical list led by Gérome Bouvier. The Gard prefecture had to impose a new vote, after a series of resignations within the municipal council, notably in the majority of Ms. Lapeyronie.
The three candidates attend the counting live. They are gathered around office 1.
