Popular dance and guinguette for the Placette district

De la musique, de la danse, des chants, de la convivialité pour une fête qui a séduit les habitants.
In a word, “Vamos”, the dancer from Cultura Baila encourages the spectators: and there they are around her, swaying enthusiastically to the rhythms of merengue or salsa. Saturday evening, the Placette, with its lanterns and tables, was transformed into a guinguette, at the initiative of the neighborhood committee, the Prolé, the Petit Théâtre de la Placette and Passion Gitane.
« The basic idea ? Make it friendly, dance, sing, drink and eat, smiles Bernard Simon, president of the committee. We started with a drawing workshop allowing residents to express their vision of the neighborhood and their wishes. The children worked hard, but we had to interview the adults. We will report back in our next journal. Last year, we tried a three-day party. But it was difficult. So we went back to a more traditional formula, with three orchestras. "
A formula that delighted the public, who came in large numbers: after the South American tunes, the gypsy sounds of Mario and the Celtic chords of Kwanza enlivened this pop ball.
