Pro D2: with a reshuffled team, Béziers loses to Soyaux-Angoulême but preserves a quarter-final at home

Van Bost will be captain to pick up the quarter at home. Midi Libre – Michael Esdourrubailh

For the 30th and final day of Pro D2, Béziers lost heavily at the Chanzy stadium in Soyaux-Angoulême, this Friday, May 17 (30-16).

Assured to play in the play-offs this year, Béziers played against Soyaux-Angoulême and this was felt in the uninspired game production of the Béziers team.

Béziers will still play its quarter-final at home because its direct opponents, Grenoble and Dax, lost. Qualified in the last seconds of a crazy last day, Brive will be the opponent of the Biterrois at the end of next week.

We will then have to bring out the big guns at Raoul-Barrière to reach the semi-finals. This without Costa Storti, injured until the end of the season.

A match to relive here:
