This Tuesday, October 9, the Rappel Conso website issued a warning about several batches of smoked trout and salmon sold by various retailers. They may be contaminated with Listeria, the bacteria responsible for listeriosis.
Once again, the government website Rappel Conso is warning about the dangers of certain products sold in supermarkets. Here, several batches of smoked salmon and trout are affected by the presence of Listeria monocytogenes.
Dozens of products affected
Around ten products are affected by this recall. The “Scottish smoked salmon 4 slices” as well as the Norwegian one from the Guyader brand, for example. Marketed since September 16, the product was sold by the Leclerc, Systeme U and Intermarché brands.

Smoked salmon, smoked trout and verrines made with salmon sold at Auchan are also affected by the recall. Here is the list of lots.

Destroy the products
If you have purchased one of these products, the government website advises you not to consume them and to destroy them.
If, on the contrary, you have consumed one of the products mentioned above and you have symptoms such as fever, headache or body aches, contact your doctor immediately treating.
Reminder Conso has specified in particular that “listeriosis is a disease that can be serious and whose incubation period can be up to eight weeks”. The most vulnerable people are pregnant women and immunocompromised or elderly people.
