With the arrival of longer days, public lighting in Frontignan is evolving.

C’has now become part of habits since the start of the energy crisis in November 2022. At night, from a certain time, public lighting goes out. So for the summer season, that of Frontignan will change its operating hours.

Three months in summer mode

Thus in the Muscatière city, the switching off of public lighting is postponed to 1:30 a.m., from June 1, 2024 until 1:30 p.m. to August 31, without turning back on in the morning. Winter hours will resume from September 1, 2024, with a switch-off at midnight and a switch-on again on morning at 5:30 a.m. Note that in one year of switching off public lighting (2023), a 46.25% reduction in electricity consumption was observed.
