Public transport strike in Nîmes: “The movement is set to get tougher”, according to the inter-union

Employees of the Tango public transport network want the Agglo to sign the social pact and resume dialogue.

Users of the trambus and buses of the Tango network in Nîmes will have to organize this week with a morning walkout of employees who are asking the Agglo to sign the social pact. The community does not wish to engage in the full procedure of choosing the new transport delegate. Indeed, on July 1, there will be a successor to the current operator Transdev.

This Monday, January 8, in the morning, the inter-union was able to see the motivation of the strikers: "Almost 100% of employees participated in the walkout. The current position of the Agglo strengthens the determination of employees. The social movement is set to harden next week if nothing changes by then, confides Nasser Mohamedi, elected member of the CFDT.

Update on the impacted lines

New disruptions are expected on Tuesday January 9 on the Tango network. Thus, from 6:45 a.m. to 8:45 a.m., urban lines T1, T2, T3, T4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 14, 15 and 16. The boutique on rue Régale will close its doors at 5 p.m. . But there will be lines that will still run this Tuesday morning: 11, 12, 13, 17, 20, 21, 22, 31, 32, 33, 41, 42, 43, 51, 52, 61, 62, the shuttle for the airport, those from 70 to 89, all Tempo and Allo Bus.

A list that users will probably find until Friday morning and perhaps the following week with other walkouts which will also be added at the end of # 39; afternoon if the dialogue is not renewed between Nîmes Métropole and the inter-syndicale.

The CFDT wanted to share this social situation with the 39 mayors of the Agglomeration. That of Sauzet was the first to respond to the employees' approach this Monday.
