Raped by 7 men: the terrible misadventure of a Spanish tourist in India

She was traveling on a motorcycle with her husband. The latter was hit. Both have swollen faces. Indian police announced they had arrested three of the attackers.

"I thought they were going to kill me": a Spanish influencer recounted how she and her husband were attacked by seven men during a motorcycle trip in India. The couple returned this Monday, through a chilling story, about the horrible attack and rape that Fernanda, 28, suffered.

Fernanda and Vicente, an influencer couple, were in a remote region of eastern India. Their trip consisted of a trip around the world on a motorbike, through 66 countries, they say, including Italy, Afghanistan, Iraq and even # 39;Saudi Arabia. Their pleasure: camping every night in the countryside or on the outskirts of towns.

Assaulted while sleeping in their tent

Their adventure turned into a nightmare last weekend in India, a country they had reached last July. According to the local Indian press, the couple had stopped near Dumka, in the state of Jharkhand. To spend the night, he had, as usual, pitched a tent.

While they were sleeping, a group of 7 men attacked them in a very violent manner. The young woman, who managed to raise the alarm, explained that she had been raped by several individuals. His companion was badly beaten.

"All they wanted was to rape me"

Very quickly three of the seven men were arrested. Interviewed by The Times of India and by Asian Nerws International, a police officer confirms that the couple was quickly taken to Dumka Hospital for treatment. The police released photos of the arrest of three people in connection with this attack. They were placed in detention and presented to justice this Monday.

According to The Times of India, the attackers were casual workers, aged 20. Police are still looking for the four other attackers. From the hospital where they are being treated, Vicente and Fernanda recounted their terrible misadventure on social networks. "All they wanted was to rape me", explains the latter. We see her on a video alongside her companion. They both bear, on their faces, the marks of the violence of the aggression.

In 2012, an attack moved the entire world

The couple has a page on Instagram in which they recount their journey. It is via this social network that they chose to express themselves. "They put a knife to my neck, telling me they were going to kill me. My mouth is destroyed, but Fernanda is in a worse state than mine, Vicente says.

India is one of the countries where rapes are most numerous and often poorly punished due to the slowness of justice. In 2022, there were an average of 90 per day. In 2012, a rape moved the entire world. A young student was raped on a bus in New Delhi, tortured, then killed. The news item had angered the Indians who had called for more severity against the rapists.
