Pour ses six ans, le Fil Rouge Midi Libre évolue en un véritable Club de Femmes.

Faithful to the appointment, around fifty influential women in the region responded to the invitation from Midi Libre this March 14 on the occasion of the launch of the sixth edition of Le Fil Rouge at the newspaper's headquarters, in Saint -John of Vedas. They are business leaders, lawyers, naturopaths, HR managers, artists, bankers or looking for opportunities; Most of them are also involved in associations or in priority territories. In short, these are "nuggets”, as Christine Ginel, founder and president of Fil Rouge Midi Libre, points out.

"Le Fil Rouge was born in 2018 from an observation, she explains on the microphone. When we opened the newspaper, we mainly saw testimonies and photos of men; and during the round tables we organized, most of the experts were men. It’s over! From now on, women from all backgrounds, with very diverse professions and skills, willingly express themselves in our columns, on our website and during our events. Olivier Biscaye, editorial director of Midi Libre, explains that "the increased visibility given to women is part of the values and great ambitions of the newspaper", which is celebrating its 80th anniversary this year.

New for 2024, the group, which has more than 300 members, is evolving into a real Club des Femmes du Fil Rouge Midi Libre. Members will notably have access to a dedicated LinkedIn group to exchange with each other and to a directory with contact details and professional biographies of all members. They will also be invited during the "Face to Face" organized by the editorial staff of the newspaper in the presence of ministers or readers and will be invited to the "Labs" of Midi Libre (Health, Real Estate, Agriculture, Eco).

"This Club aims to make women even more visible in the media" explains Christine Ginel, who is its initiator. All members will also continue to be able to sponsor a woman of their choice with a view to the publication of an article devoted to their pair in Midi Libre. After a very successful first edition of the Gala du Fil Rouge in 2023 -"it was a memorable day, which people still talk to me about" underlines Olivier Biscaye-, Midi Libre is repeating the operation. See you on June 20, 2024 in the pine forest around participatory workshops (media training, boss dating, etc.), exchanges, round tables, a major debate with women and inspiring men and a festive cocktail in the park concocted by local chefs.
