Dans la résidence du Grand Talabot à Nîmes, les problèmes s’accumulent depuis maintenant 5 ans.
On Talabot Boulevard, less than 600 meters from the escutcheon, the Résidence du Grand Talabot seems to have a never-ending list of problems. Armen Martirossyan, a resident who has lived there for at least 3 years now, notes a continuous deterioration in his living environment. “It's been 6 years now since we had barriers at the entrance to the parking lot” he testifies. A situation that could prove quite critical since’in 2022, when a garbage fire broke out, the firefighters were hampered by the poorly parked vehicles of people from outside the residence.
« We've been abandoned for four or five years »
Adding to this, say the occupants, the forbidden dumping of rubble, entrance doors that open without keys or even a car parked unexpectedly on the stairs, the residents of the residence decided to react. On February 7, 2024, the residents sent a letter to the landlord CDC Habitat Social to highlight these problems. Then, judging the response insufficient, the tenants this time sent a letter alerting the mayor and the prefect on July 12, 2024. When contacted, CDC Habitat Social did not respond to our requests.
