As shownLe Parisien, both parties wanted to find "a peaceful outcome to the affair". This is now done after the cancellation of his trial for domestic violence.

The German player will, however, have to pay 200,000 euros to his ex-partner, 50,000 euros to the Public Treasury as well as 50,000 euros. euros to charities. A heavy sum which remains lower than that imposed during his first conviction in October 2023 for "assault". The Berlin district court demanded 450,000 euros from the tennis player.

In German law, paying financial compensation to the alleged victim does not constitute an admission of guilt. Zverev is therefore still presumed innocent, something he has always defended since the accusations began. His law firm had also declared that "the facts described had already been rejected by a medical report which considered the evidence incomprehensible and contradictory".
