This Monday, April 22, Hassiba Radjoul, the mother of Samara, beaten on April 2 near her college in Montpellier, was interviewed by the investigating judge in charge of the case, at the criminal court from Montpellier. She was heard in the presence of her lawyer, Me Marc Gallix. At the end of this long interview of 2 and a half hours, she received the support of her mother, Samara's uncle, as well as Farida Ghaouti, president of the Harkie Women's League, who had organized a blockade of the Arthur-Rimbaud college just after the events.

How is Samara today?

She is still under treatment. She has appointments with a child psychiatrist. She is getting a little better day by day, but she doesn't go out and only sees the family circle. The child psychiatrist authorized her to contact her two friends, two young girls in her class. She also called back one of her teachers who had left her number.

"I requested that my daughter be homeschooled"

For your part, with whom have you spoken since the events ?

I had five telephone conversations with the Minister of National Education, as well as with her advisor. I also have regular discussions with the academic director on Samara’s schooling. It was me who took the initiative to ask that my daughter be homeschooled. I don't want her to make her difficulties at school worse.

How did your hearing by the investigating judge go this Monday?

The judge was very attentive. She put me at ease. I'm happy because she took the time to explain the procedure to me, even though I've been in the dark lately. She asked about Samara, then talked about her schooling. She then spoke about the investigation.
