The energy check is back. This aid put in place by the State allows the poorest households to fight against the surge in energy prices. The conditions for receiving this subsidy depend on household income. 5.8 million households can benefit from it.

Payments will begin from April 2 and checks will be sent in four stages. They are in fact not sent at the same time depending on the department in which you reside.

What dates in Occitanie?

In Occitanie, the first to receive the check will be the beneficiaries of the departments of l’Ariège, l’Aude, Pyrénées Orientales, Tarn-et -Garonne and Gard, where shipments are planned for the week from April 2 to 5.

For Lozère, Hautes-Pyrénées, Tarn, Hérault, Aveyron, Lot and on Gers, shipping will take place the week of April 8th to 12th. Finally, the Haute-Garonnewill only be distributed the week of April 22 to 25.

The energy check in practice

As for the amount of aid, it is calculated according to the tax income of households. Its amount varies from 48 euros to 277 euros depending on the income declared , with an average of around 150 euros.

It can be used to pay bills from suppliers of electricity, natural gas, other heating fuels (wood, domestic fuel), but also heating charges included in the fees for approved residential homes, EHPADs, EHPAs, independent residences, establishments and long-term care units (USLD).

The energy check also allows you to pay for certain work, particularly energy renovation work. To do this, you must call on a certified "RGE" professional. recognized guarantor of the environment. You will find the list on the France Rénov website.
