The stallholders are canceling the night in solidarity with the traders who will be affected by the installation work of Galeries Lafayette at the Coupole des halles de Nîmes.

The stallholders of the Nîmes market had planned a night party for Thursday, June 27. The event is canceled. Traders are worried after the announcement of the installation of Galeries Lafayette at the Coupole and the work that accompanies the arrival of the department store, with the creation of a new escalator on the rue Général side -Perrier.

"This decision was taken to support three of our stalls, unfairly impacted, indicate the merchants […]. We would like to emphasize that we fully support this shopping center project, which promises to energize our city. However, it is essential that our activity and our legitimate place in the heart of Nîmes are heard and respected."
