La Gerbe, one of the oldest associations in Montpellier, is holding its Guinguette Artistique this Saturday, June 29, in the Gambetta district.

This Saturday, June 29, from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m., the La Gerbe association is offering the 7th edition of its Guinguette Artistique in the Gambetta district, this year on the theme of “Science fiction and the future”. The program includes games, artistic workshops, theater and evening concerts. A day that promises to be friendly and festive! "Our objective is to bring a cultural event to life in the neighborhood", specifies Agathe Lacaze, member of the association.

Organized since 2016

Since 2016, La Gerbe has organized the Guinguette Artistique every year, an event to unite the neighborhood and support local associative life by giving them visibility to the general public. Last year, the Guinguette brought together some 450 people, 35 volunteers and a dozen partners. La Gerbe, created in 1906, is one of the oldest associations in Montpellier. Today, it actively supports local association events but also youth by providing members with a crèche, a leisure center and a Youth Space.

This summer, it’s Capoeira

This summer, La Gerbe will also offer a Capoeira course for young people aged 12 to 15, with the Berimbaus de Guatambu association, from July 9 to 12 (July 20). ;euro; the 4 half-days). In addition to being introduced to this art mixing dance and wrestling, it will also be an opportunity for young people to create links around the values ​​of sharing and solidarity.
