This Sunday, January 7, Dapo Mebude, a young 22-year-old footballer, was the victim of a serious car accident. He is hospitalized in serious condition.
Dramatic traffic accident in Belgium. Scottish footballer Dapo Mebude lost control of his car this Sunday morning, around 9 a.m.
His vehicle left the road and violently hit a tree, indicates the Belgian media DHNET. The young man was quickly taken care of by emergency services and was transferred in critical condition to the hospital.
An open investigation
According to our colleagues, a traffic expert was sent to the site in order to clarify the circumstances of this serious accident which did not involve another vehicle.
"We have no news yet of his condition, the Belgian club Ostend where he plays said on social networks. Our thoughts are already with Dapo and his family."
His team was supposed to play a friendly match this weekend but it was canceled due to circumstances. Of Nigerian origin, Dapo Mebude has worn the Scotland national team jersey in several youth categories.
