Second “Place Net” operation in the space of three days at the Montasinos city in Montpellier

After the large-scale raid which took place this Monday, March 25 in the morning in the Montasinos city, a new strike operation was carried out this Wednesday, March 27.

In the space of three days, the Montasinos housing estate in the Aiguelongue district of Montpellier was shelled by the police. As part of the fight against drug trafficking, which constitutes a priority for the Government and therefore for the prefect of Hérault François-Xavier Lauch, around sixty national police officers were in fact deployed this Monday 25 & nbsp;March in the early morning, to dismantle deal points.

The objective was also to break up trafficking by attacking consumers and sustainably occupying the land. According to our information, seven people were arrested that day and placed in police custody. The prefecture then communicated, via social networks, specifying that it was a Place Net operation and announced that an assessment would be carried out at the end of the week.

Fight against urban nuisances

What the traffickers in the neighborhood probably did not imagine was that they were going to bear the brunt of a new operation coordinated by the national and municipal police, two days later. This time, it was about fighting against urban nuisances with missions to remove tags, some of which, of course, are associated with the illicit activities that are plaguing the city. But also many bulky items.
