Since Thursday May 30, 2024, around thirty students and adults from a school in Marne have been feeling unwell. The possibility of carbon monoxide poisoning was ruled out this Friday, June 7, 2024. The school remains closed.

Since Thursday May 30, 2024, "around thirty students and adults have presented episodes of headaches, nausea and itching", recalls the prefecture in a press release.

This Friday, June 7, 2024, the Marne prefecture ruled out the possibility of carbon monoxide poisoning, notably resuming Le Parisien< /em>.

No food poisoning

The hypothesis of food poisoning has also been ruled out, as has that of contamination by the water fountain. No presence of chemicals was detected by the firefighters. Research continues. The Atmo network, specialized in monitoring air quality, notably installs measuring devices.

When will the school reopen?

The reopening of the school "will be decided after receipt of the results of the ongoing investigations", d&amp ;rsquo;after the prefecture.

Elementary school students will be welcomed in a middle school and at the association center. Those in kindergarten "will benefit from educational continuity" remotely.
