Several free courses on nutrition and physical activity are offered to seniors in Lozère

Plusieurs stages de nutrition de deux jours pour les 60 ans et plus sont organisés un peu partout en Lozère, du 26 février au 15 mars, de 9 h 30 à 16 h 30.
Mutualité Française Occitanie invites seniors, as part of the Conference of funders for the prevention of loss of autonomy, to a two-day course, with workshops on the themes of food and nutrition. ;rsquo;physical activity, led by professionals. Nutrition, physical activities promote balance, autonomy, memory and the prevention of excess weight.
A diet adapted to pathologies
Diet contributes to a general balance and allows us to stay in good health. On the program for the first day, in the morning, workshops with a dietician on the nutritional needs of seniors and the benchmarks of the National Nutrition and Health Plan (PNNS). At midday, cooking workshop, with preparation of a starter, followed by a free meal, taken together. In the afternoon, workshops with an adapted physical activity instructor, with a digestive walk, accessible to all: the benefits of physical activity, adapted physical activity and how to start or resume an activity physical, with a few simple exercises to reproduce at home.
The second day, in the morning, workshops with a dietician, adaptations of diet according to pathologies (diabetes, cholesterol, hypertension, osteoporosis and overweight…) and practical exercises for carrying out balanced menus on different themes. At midday, cooking workshop, with preparation of a starter, followed by a free meal, taken together. In the afternoon, workshops with a dietitian, the importance of conviviality and the pleasure of eating. How to eat well on a budget and understand food labels.
Monday February 26 and Tuesday February 27, in Fournels; Thursday February 29 and Friday March 1, in Saint-Chély-d’Apcher; Monday March 4 and Tuesday March 5, in Saint-Germain-du-Teil; Thursday March 7 and Friday March 8, in Bédouès-Cocurès; Monday March 11 and Tuesday March 12, at Bleymard and Thursday March 14 and Friday March 15, at Collet-de-Dèze.
