SNCF strike: how much does a train controller actually earn ?

Découvrez le salaire d'un contrôleur SNCFR. MAXPPP – Ketty BEYONDAS

L'augmentation des salaires est au cœur des revendications des contrôleurs en grève depuis jeudi soir jusqu'à lundi 19 février. Mais combien gagnent-ils réellement à la fin du mois ?

Will they reach their end ? On strike since Thursday evening until Monday February 19, the increase in wages is the main demand of the agents who are demanding 150 to 200 euros more gross per month.

The management of the railway company considers this social movement "incomprehensible" on the part of controllers, already increased "500 euros in 2 years", declared the group's CEO, Jean-Pierre Farandou, on TF1.

An assertion denied by the agents, who denounce false information. But concretely, how much does an SNCF controller earn ?

Take bonuses into account

On the SNCF website, the average annual salary indicated for a "commercial agent on board trains" is 22,192 euros at the start of your career (1,850 euros gross per month), 28,816 euros at mid-career (2,401 euros per month) and 35,816 euros ;at the end of career (2 984 euros per month)

Be careful however, there is a variable part to take into account. Bonuses make it possible to inflate salaries from 19% to 25% (work on weekends, public holidays, night shifts, etc.). Thus, with bonus, monthly salaries would rather be around 1,800 to 2,750 euros net, reports T F1.
