SNCF: we now know the level of increase in TGV Inoui ticket prices for 2024

This Wednesday, February 28, 2024 during a press conference, the CEO of SNCF Jean-Pierre Farandou announced that train ticket prices would increase but not beyond inflation.

The increase in the price of SNCF tickets had already been implemented since the end of 2023.

The prices of Ouigos and Intercités remain stable

As reported by Franceinfo, SNCF TGV Inoui ticket prices will increase in 2024 by 2.6% compared to those in 2023. It was CEO Jean-Pierre Farandou who announced this after presenting the annual results of the railway company on February 28.

"The increase in TGV prices is necessary to finance investments in order to offer more offers, with the purchase of new trains, and to cope with the increase in costs which should be 7% in 2024 for the activity", specified the management of SNCF Voyageurs.< /p>

Please note that people with an Advantage card will not be affected by this increase. The railway company also specified that the prices of TGV Ouigo and Intercités tickets will not change this year.

In 2023, the price of TGV tickets had already increased by 5% on average.
