Snow in the Gard: the Alti Aigoual resort opens its alpine and cross-country ski slopes from Wednesday March 6

Thanks to the heavy snowfall this Sunday March 3, the Alti Aigoual resort will open, from Wednesday March 6, and the following weekend at least, its alpine ski slopes (red, & ;nbsp;blue) and background. This Monday, March 4, the team published on social networks a video of those who have already been able to benefit from these climatic conditions.

Snow this weekend

A lot of damage was done to calmly consider the opening of the slopes as well as the multi-activity area. According to forecasts from La Chaîne Météo, snow could still fall from Friday March 8 on Aigoual as well as throughout the weekend!

For those who want to enjoy the joys of skiing, the greatest caution is required on the roads. Indeed, according to Inforoute 30, special equipment is required to access the station.

Snow-covered roads or patches of snow in the Cévennes are observed above 700 meters of altitude. Traffic remains difficult for access to the Alti Aigoual station, on the RD 986 (upper part up to L'Espérou RD48N) as well as on the RD 151 Espérou-Dourbie. Treatments are in progress according to the Gard Departmental Council.
