A spectacular accident occurred this Saturday, April 13, around 7:30 p.m., on the D999, crossing Redessan, between the Max Pneu store and the Casino supermarket.

For reasons that remain to be determined, on this portion of the road which is limited to 50 km/h, a man, alone in his car, deviated from his trajectory and hit violently a pole on the opposite lane.

The father was going to pick up his children

According to our information, this father, who came from Nîmes, was heading towards Beaucaire to pick up his children when the collision occurred. According to initial findings, he is the only one involved.

And, given the state of the vehicle, the forty-year-old escaped quite miraculously for the time being. Slightly injured, he was evacuated by ambulance to the Carémeau University Hospital in Nîmes to be examined.
