On the eve of a strike by SNCF controllers which should seriously disrupt rail traffic during school holidays, the CEO of SNCF Voyageurs, Christophe Fanichet, has assured the objective of running one in two TGVs.

After a final meeting with SNCF management, the Sud-Rail unions and the CGT maintained their call for a strike on Tuesday February 13 for the second weekend of the school holidays.

Disruptions to train traffic are expected from Thursday February 15, from 7 p.m., and until Monday February 19 at 8 a.m.

The transport plan being finalized

Only one in two TGVs should run during this school holiday weekend, announced this Wednesday February 14 on Franceinfo Christophe Fanichet, the boss of SNCF Voyageurs, specifying that the railway company is in the process of "finalizing" its transport plan, which will be known this Wednesday after -noon.

"The objective is to ensure one in two TGVs running this weekend", with "as many of Ouigo than of Inoui" and a priority for "the departures and returns of the snow", he indicated, specifying that "the disruptions are Friday, Saturday and Sunday" .

This movement is "incomprehensible because the company's commitments which were made in December 2022 are being kept", underlined Christophe Fanichet.< /p>
