Suspected of having committed thefts in a retirement home in Nîmes against vulnerable people, a thirty-year-old imprisoned

Une Nîmoise de 39 ans est soupçonnée de vols dans un établissement pour personnes âgées. Elle était jugée ce jeudi dans le cadre d'une comparution immédiate. Son affaire a été renvoyée au 21 mars. 

While waiting for her case to be judged, a 39-year-old from Nîmes was placed in pre-trial detention this Thursday, February 8.

"I will behave myself"

This person had to be judged  in immediate appearance for thefts committed in a retirement home. She is suspected of a series of thefts perpetrated against elderly people between October and December 2023 and attempted thefts, always against vulnerable people (due to their advanced age).

She is accused of stealing televisions or cash. She denies part of the alleged facts. Faced with the requisitions of   placed in detention by the prosecution, she asked the court to leave her under judicial supervision. "If'there's a possibility. I will behave myself", she promised. The judges decided to place her in detention pending her trial, set for March 21, 2024.
