Table tennis: we know the opponents of the Lebrun brothers for the first round of the World Cup in Macau

As they prepare to compete in the World Cup in Macau (China), from April 15 to 21, 2024, Felix and Alexis Lebrun now know their opponents for this important deadline.
For the first time since 2020, the Table Tennis World Cup is back, in Macau, from Monday April 15 to Sunday April 21.
The competition starts with a group stage with matches played over four sets (4-0, 3-1 or 2-2) before a knockout phase in a more classic seven-set format .
Depending on their ranking in the world ranking, the 48 best table tennis players on the planet are divided into 16 groups of three.
Félix Lebrun starts Monday at 1 p.m.
Felix Lebrun, No. 5 in the world, inherited from Taipei Kao Cheng-Jui (31st in the world & seeded 25th in the tournament) and Nicolas Burgos, young Chilean from 22 years old (52nd in the world – seeded 38 in the tournament) in group 7.
To start his tournament Félix will challenge Burgos, Monday April 15 at 1 p.m. French time.

Alexis Lebrun (21st in the world), looking for points in his long-distance duel with Simon Gauzy for a place at the Paris Olympics, is in group 13, alongside the Chinese Lin Shidong (14th in the world). – seeded 13 in the tournament) and the Ecuadorian Alberto Mino (86th in the world – seeded 46 in the tournament).

Simon Gauzy (25th in the world) will be in group 9, opposed to the South Korean Wang Woojin (12th in the world – seeded 11) as well as the ;Egyptian Mohamed El-Beiali (66th in the world – seeded 44).
