The bridge collapses, the truck falls below

#GARD. This Monday March 18, in the middle of the afternoon, the bridge which crosses the Luech in Chamborigaud collapsed while the driver of a sweeper was committed to the work.

The machine was still dragged down among the rubble. Major emergency services rushed to the scene and the victim, a man in his forties, slightly injured, was evacuated by helicopter. The bridge is destroyed over around twenty meters and traffic is prohibited.

Diversions are in place. The work was verified in 2022 and was classified as "old but not presenting urgent concerns".

#HERAULT.Quentin Robert, 33, a habitual offender who was due to appear on Monday March 25 before the Hérault Assize Court for having beaten to death and stabbed a young prostitute in February 2020 in Montpellier, was found dead on Saturday in his cell at the Villeneuve-lès-Maguelone remand center. He obviously killed himself by hanging. He faced life imprisonment, just like two accomplices who should appear free for having participated in these extremely violent acts which cost the life of Alaïs Ragot, 19 years old. She had distanced herself from this pimp to prostitute herself independently, in the company of two friends.
Quentin Robert was also sentenced to ten years in prison by the Montpellier Court of Appeal in April 2023 for having prostituted several other young girls in Perpignan and Montpellier. His partner, Yassine Toubaoui, sentenced to nine years for these acts, died in detention over the summer.

Onet: the attacker indicted

#AVEYRON. The 23-year-old man suspected of having stabbed to death a 45-year-old father, in front of his wife and son, last Saturday, in the parking lot of a supermarket in Onet -le-Château (Aveyron), was presented this Monday to the Montpellier public prosecutor's office. He was indicted for "murder, attempted murder, deliberate endangerment of others and intentional violence committed with a weapon by a person in a state of intoxication". Sound < em>"placement in pre-trial detention was required", said Montpellier prosecutor Fabrice Bélargent.

#BEZIERS.
