The town of Villeveyrac hosted the Agristars Trophies ceremony on Thursday evening. The event rewarded local talents, on the eve of the first Mediterranean Agricultural Show.
Midi Libre put the agricultural world in the spotlight, Thursday evening in Villeveyrac, on the occasion of the Agristars Agricultural Trophies ceremony. On the eve of the first Mediterranean Agricultural Show, organized by Midi Libre in partnership with Sète Agglopôle Méditerranée, the Agristars Trophies celebrated excellence and innovation in the local agricultural sector.
Dedication, creativity and innovation
This ceremony aims to recognize and reward farmers who stand out for their dedication, creativity and contribution to the advancement of agriculture in our region. Agristars also offer the opportunity to meet and exchange with other professionals in the sector, discover innovations and celebrate the successes of our farmers.

Transmission, short circuits, gastronomy, regional action or even Favorite Prizes, this evening was an opportunity to praise the numerous know-how of our territory. A great way to kick off these two days dedicated to Mediterranean agriculture, in Villeveyrac.
Environmental price
The first professional baccalaureate class “conduct and management of wine production”, from the Bonne Terre high school, in the town of Pézenas, won the “Environment” for its Biodiv & Water, aimed at encouraging the adoption of agroecological practices. Prize sponsored by CERFRANCE.

Transmission and installation price
Market gardener Florent Belle-Albaret wins the “Transmission and installation” prize, which rewards his work at the Jardins de Pézenas, following the retirement of the Moutou family. The fruit and vegetable producer has managed to perpetuate traditional know-how. Prize sponsored by SAFER.

Short circuit and proximity prices
The price “Short and local circuits” is given to beekeeper Marine Edo, based in the town of Montbazin. The family business’s honey draws its flavors from the complex vegetation of the scrubland. Prize sponsored by the Chambers of Agriculture of Hérault and Gard.

Gastronomy price
The couple of oyster farmers Emmeline Rigal and Quentin Ovise, based in Mèze (company (Degus’Thau), won the “Gastronomy” category. A duo rewarded for quality of its shells and respect for traditions Prize sponsored by Pays d’Oc.

Sector strategy price / alliance
Alexandre Vigne, first vice-president of the Causses Aigoual Cévennes community of communes, receives the “Sector Strategy/Alliance” as part of the Esperou transhumance festival, in Valleraugue. Prize sponsored by the Chambers of Agriculture of Hérault and Gard, the Agri Occitanie Cooperative, SAFER, Groupama and the MSA.

Innovation price
The “Innovation” is awarded to Marine Dingreville (distillery manager), Francis Pages (president) and Christophe Bonnemort (general director), for the Cavale cooperative, an agricultural cooperative of winegrowers and farmers from Limoux and its surroundings. It has five sectors of activity and 700 members. Prize sponsored by Sète Agglôpole Méditerranée.

Rurality and territorial action prize
Philippe Boisson, president of Origine Cévennes, receives the “Rurality and territorial action” prize. Based in Saint-André-de-Majencoules, in the Gard, the Origine Cévennes cooperative brings together 70 producers of sweet onions from the Cévennes. Price sponsored by Groupama Méditerranée.

Passion favorite price
The “Passion favorite” returns to Lise Fons-Vincent, director of EARL Château de Fourques, a women’s wine estate on the outskirts of Montpellier. In November 2023, the estate launched its iKonique TrinKette, “oenobière” made from a brew of wheat hops and grape must. Prize sponsored by the Occitanie Region.
