Money around their necks for Anthony Legeay and Yvan Le Meur.

In Dunkirk, the Sétois entered no less than nine boats and won two silver medals. Results which confirm the good health of the club.

Thirteen rowers from the Aviron Club du Bassin de Thau recently participated in the French sea rowing championships in Dunkirk.

In perfect weather, the ACBT registered no less than nine boats, a record for the club in a national event. And no less than two medals were won by the Sétois after a journey of 2,250 km.

The first was in silver, in the "Critérium national Handi Aviron" category, with Yvan Le Meur who has a visual impairment, accompanied by his partner Anthony Legeay. A pride for the club to have been able to participate for the first time in this field of disabled sports. And he intends to continue the adventure.

Medals and places of honor

For the second medal, it was the side of the Women's Solo Master Élisabeth Dyskiewicz that we had to turn to. A nice bronze medal, one more, for an experienced rower.

Elisabeth Dyskiewicz in bronze.

No podium for the others, but good results all the same. The "mixed barred four" en pointe took eighth and ninth places, Julien Le Ster finished sixth in Solo and the Men's Double Master fourteenth. Freshly composed, the "four" senior men finished in twelfth position. Finally, in the Masters, the women's “four” took ninth place and the men's “four” took fifteenth.

Champions "EuroMed"

Results which confirm the good health of the Aviron Club du Bassin de Thau at the national level. On the Mediterranean side, two crews are crowned "EuroMed" champions at the end of the five annual regattas, namely the Solo Men Julien Le Ster and the double "Handi" Rowing PR3 Yvan Le Meur and Anthony Legeay. Two other crews took the silver medal in the "four" Master women and "four" Master Men (over 40 years old).
