She was found guilty. The trial of Sophia Lakhdar, 41, took place this Tuesday, May 14 before the Rhône criminal court. She received 5 years in prison, including 30 months, plus a 3-year probationary suspension, for having caused the death of Bozidar Kuzmanovic, just 70 years old at the time of the events.

"I felt humiliated"

The story dates back to four years ago, on January 22, 2020, when the accused left work around 1 p.m., report our colleagues from Progrès . On the way, the woman, suffering from kidney disease, has a violent urge to urinate. As she stops in the parking lot of a Gerland company in the 7th arrondissement of Lyon and crouches in a corner, she is quickly spotted by the waitress of the restaurant. rsquo;neighboring café and customer, Bozidar Kuzmanovic.

Under their gaze, Sophia Lakhdar loses her composure: "They were watching me. It pissed me off. I felt humiliated, misunderstood and attacked", she said during the trial, transcribed by our colleagues. On the surveillance camera, we see her, shouting and waving her fists in front of the septuagenarian.

Heart attack

But a few minutes later, while Sophia is gone, Bozidar Kuzmanovic collapses and dies of a heart attack. For the experts present during the trial, the causal relationship between the altercation and the client's death is beyond doubt.
