The Béziers Accueil association continues to grow

Le 15 mai dernier, Béziers Accueil a réalisé son apéritif mensuel à l’hôtel Bergé.

The monthly aperitif of Béziers Accueil took place on May 15 in the gardens of the Hôtel Bergé, headquarters of the Société Archéologique Scientifique et Littéraire. This evening was organized in the presence of Mgr Jean Louis Brugues, honorary president, Gilles Bancarel, president, and many members of the SASLB.
After the usual thanks, Frédéric Deschamps, the president of the Association, gave some information about Béziers Accueil. Next May 31 will see the anniversary of its creation. With now 183 members, the association continues to grow. "The DNA of Béziers accueil finds its origins in the fact that welcoming new residents of Béziers is not only a civic act but also a duty, explains Frédéric Deschamps. Newcomers but not only… because we also enrich the experience of those who participate in our adventure, even if they have lived in Béziers and its region for many years. I would like to take advantage of these few words to thank everyone who has been working for several days to prepare this XXL aperitif."
Gilles Bancarel then said a few words about the Archaeological Society which celebrated its three centuries of existence in 2023 by succeeding the former Royal Academy. Visits to the Bergé hotel are organized in small groups to admire the collections, furniture and interior decoration.
Elisabeth Pissaro, assistant for culture, congratulated the Béziers Accueil volunteers and assured the entire team of the municipality's support in this essential contact with the new Biterrois.
The next events will take place on June 1 at the Margé manade, June 21 at the Grau d’Agde fish market and June 27 with a sardinade evening at Fort Brescou. The association will very soon offer an SOS Informatique workshop led by Alain Nicolas in order to be more comfortable with the internet.
