Le choix du nouveau délégataire des transports en commun pour Nîmes Métropole Keolis sera validé par les élus. M. A.

Les élus communutaires ont reçu ce jeudi la délibération qui évoque le choix du nouvel opérateur des transports de Nîmes Métropole.

Monday February 26, the community council of Nîmes Métropole will have to validate the choice of the new public service delegate for transport: Keolis. Community elected officials received this Thursday, February 8, the draft deliberation which specifies the name of the winner, the one who beat the other candidate in the running for this DSP RATPDev.

Keolis is not an unknown group for the Agglo since it was he who held the delegation before the arrival of Transdev on January 1, 2019 . As part of this new DSP, the delegatee will have to carry out several projects for the Agglo such as the T5 line which will serve Vaunage, the extension of the T1 and bicycle rental.

Six-year contract

After a final committee meeting at the beginning of the week, at the end of which a source close to the matter indicated to Midi Libre that the name of the delegatee would be known by on the weekend, the choice is therefore made. The new operator will have to reassure employees who had walked off the job several times in December and January to obtain assurances of better working conditions.

The new delegate will arrive on July 1 for a contract period of more than six years, until the end of 2030.
