Since the beginning of the afternoon, this Thursday, April 2, a crane truck has fallen into a ditch on the D158 between Mèze and Loupian. A diesel leak was detected.
The RD 158 between Loupian and Mèze is currently closed due to an impressive crane truck accident. The 40-ton machine actually lay on its side in a ditch along this departmental road. Although the incident did not cause any casualties, the 200 liter tank was affected and a small diesel leak was detected. Firefighters were deployed to contain any risk of fire and a team from the DIR proceeded according to Sdis 34 to remove absorbent.
Traffic stopped during lifting operations
The earth contaminated with diesel will be cleared and recovered by a backhoe loader.
Traffic is currently completely at a standstill on the RD 158 between Loupian and Mèze. "This traffic interruption will be of long duration because it is necessary to find a lifting company available to lift the vehicle", indicates Sdis 34 .
