The Department wants to create and develop its own Hérault “brand”

The Department is launching a public consultation at the beginning of May in order to create its own 'Hérault' brand. A marketing approach which aims to better identify the territory, the products and services offered there, particularly in the tourism sector.

What words, what slogan, what site or even what colors to associate with the department of Hérault ? Since this Tuesday, the departmental council has launched a vast consultation on the internet (1) in order to determine the characteristics of a "Héraut" brand.

Find "a common attractant"

A marketing approach which aims to better identify the products and services offered in the region, in the style of "Sud de France" deployed by the Region."It’is a destination brand that can be used by all stakeholders who have an approach to offer in economics, sports, the environment or culture. But the central core is products linked to tourism" specifies its vice-president in charge of tourism, Jean-Louis Gély.

In place from 2025

The exercise does not appear so simple as the existing offer is varied and heterogeneous. "What seems important to us is that it has an overall function which allows us to clearly target the territory where it is happening. But it’s complicated to find a common attractant" continues the chosen one. The brand that will be created must serve, "to identify the territory, to wear the colors of Hérault, beyond its territory".

In order to determine its contours, an online questionnaire is therefore offered to the public until the second half of September. The responses will then be analyzed and analyzed before this material is submitted to professionals in the tourism sector and the "Hérault" is created. The objective is to make it operational from the start of 2025, before the next Agricultural Show.
