The departure of Louis Carbonel from the MHR formalized after Montpellier's victory against Lyon

L’ouvreur de Montpellier faisait partie des joueurs honorés par le club à l’issue de la victoire du MHR contre Lyon (41-26), samedi 1er juin au GGL Stadium.

It's not really a surprise, but it's now official, Louis Carbonel will leave Hérault at the end of the season. He was one of the players honored at the end of the match by the club and president Mohed Altrad. With one year left on his contract, the former Toulon player will therefore find a new base. This could be the Stade Français as announced by several media in recent weeks.

Best Director

The international fly-half (25 years old, 5 caps) is the best director of the MHR this season. He will still be an important player with a view to maintaining the access match which awaits Montpellier on June 16 against Vannes or Grenoble.

The other players who will leave the club at the end of the season are hooker Brandon Paenga-Amosa, fly-half Louis Foursans-Bourdette, winger Ben Lam, scrum half Aubin Eymeri, third row Clément Doumenc, pillars Titi Lamositele and Gregory Fichten, as well as center Geoffrey Doumayrou who is ending his career.
