It will take place Friday March 1, on a farm in the town of Cans et Cévennes or in Cassagnas, depending on weather conditions, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. It is still possible to register at the email address: pref48-dfciflorac@lozere.gouv.fr.

Burning is an agricultural technique which consists of tearing up vegetation and the surface layer of humus, in order to incinerate these elements in small piles, then ;#39;spread the ashes on the ground in order to enrich it with nutrients. Poorly managed, burning can turn into a fire. To control it, many meteorological factors must be taken into account.

The DFCI (French forest defense against fires) center of the Lozère prefecture is therefore organizing training to learn the right actions to adopt to avoid a fire. It will take place on Friday March 1, 2024, on a farm in the town of Cans and Cévennes or in Cassagnas, depending on weather conditions, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

It is still possible to register at the email address: pref48-dfciflorac@lozere.gouv.fr.
