Every year, the association publishes its little bible of delicious addresses which allows gourmets to find their happiness, in France but also abroad.

The elite of Occitanie gastronomy gathered in Montpellier, at the beginning of June, in the majestic Richer hotel in Belleval, dear to Jacques and Laurent Pourcel.

The opportunity to celebrate with great fanfare the release of the new guide "mondial" of the Master Chefs of France 2024, under the leadership of chef Jacques Mazerand, regional ambassador of this association of excellence, created in 1951, bringing together nearly 550 members spread across five continents and in nearly twenty-five countries.

Promote French culinary art

For more than 70 years in fact, "the most starred banner in the world" works daily to support and promote French culinary art, in France but also internationally.

For the occasion, the most famous twins of Montpellier and their brigade had concocted a delicious meal.

With an entry around Mediterranean tuna. Followed by a roast veal fillet accompanied by a fricassee of mousserons, fondant Comté ravioli and sweet potato puree.

Not forgetting a succulent vanilla milk cream mousse, like a cheesecake, and its local strawberry salad.

Seventeen chefs in Occitanie

There are only seventeen Master Chefs from France in Occitanie:
Gilles Goujon (3 stars) and Lionel Giraud (2 stars) in Aude.
Marc Cordy (new entrant) in Aveyron.
Michel Kayser (2 stars), Serge Chenet (1 star), Samien Sanchez (1 star) and Philippe Houy in Gard.
Alexis and Jean-Pierre Saint-Martin in the Hautes-Pyrénées.
Jacques and Laurent Pourcel (1 star) and Jacques Mazerand in the Hérault.
Pascal Borell, François Will, Alain Delprat, Franck Séguret and Denis Viselach in the Pyrenees-Orientales.
And finally Thierry Pszonka in Tarn-et-Garonne.

À note that this gathering organizedé at the Garden of the Senses was marked; by the presence of renowned chefs, retired or currently available, such as Jean Plouzennec, Michel Loustau, Michel Alexandre, Philippe Parc, Michel Meissonnier or even Alexis Quaretti who works at ; Miami (USA) within the Oceania Cruise group.

All enhanced by Venoge champagne and wines from Mas de l’Ecriture (Terrasses du Larzac), dear to Pascal Fulla and his daughter Léa. An estate which is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year.
