The independent painters of Cèze take over the Cave Mallet for their traditional annual exhibition

L’association les peintres de la Cèze organise son exposition du 22 au 27 avril à la Cave Mallet.

The association of independent painters of Cèze (PIC) releases its most beautiful paintings from April 22 to 27 for its annual exhibition. This year, the event will exceptionally take place at the Cave Mallet and not at the Saint-Maur space, currently under construction. Around ten members of the association chose to put between three works each. Each year, the association makes between "three or four sales". "It allows some of us to amortize our material costs a little, says President Anna Doucet.< em> For some time now, there have been fewer and fewer people buying. Times are tough for everyone."

Various techniques

The fifteen members remain motivated and go out every two weeks (once on Thursday, once on Saturday) in the Rhone Gard to paint from nature, from life. They then find places accessible by car to avoid walking too much with the equipment. Watercolor, oil painting, acrylic, pastel, drawing… The techniques used are free and vary according to the sensibilities of the painters. No painting teacher is present. Mutual aid and kindness are the watchwords in this association created in 1987 in Tresques.

Exhibition from April 22 to 27 at Cave Mallet, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. The painters will take turns being on duty. Opening Monday April 22 at 6 p.m.
