The judicial administrator met the employees of the slaughterhouse and the mayor of Saint-Affrique

SAS Abattoir Sud-Aveyron Saint-Affrique has been in receivership proceedings since Tuesday May 28. Jean-François Blanc was appointed judicial administrator and Christine Dauverchain judicial representative. Monday morning, employees met Mustafa Slimani, the director and operator, Liazid Sadali, the president of SAS, and Jean-François Blanc at the slaughterhouse.

According to employees, exchanges were "a little heated between some of them and Mustafa Slimani". Then, still according to employees, the administrator explained what was going to happen in the weeks to come. It will bring the employees together again within ten days at most to elect a staff delegate who will represent the employees in court. During this meeting, an assessment will be made to determine whether the SAS is viable and has the financial capacity to pay all salaries and balances of any accounts due and to come. Also point to see if the approval file has been submitted by the management to the State services and on the viability of the company. Normally, the case should be examined again before the Rodez commercial court on Tuesday July 9.

Inaccuracies to be removed

"But if all the elements are not met, the administrator will ask the court to bring forward the date to Tuesday June 25 so that the payment of June salaries is guaranteed by the Association for the management of the salary debt guarantee scheme (AGS)," explains Éric Apolit, one of the employees. "To date, we have no answer as to whether the activity will continue or not."

For his part, Sébastien David, mayor and president of the community of communes, with regional councilor Clément Carles, received the judicial administrator at the town hall. "We talked at length," comments Sébastien David. "For me, the number one subject is the salaries of the slaughterhouse employees with the social approach. The AGS has paid the majority of employees, but some inaccuracies remain to be clarified regarding certain employees." *

Project around short circuits ?

The mayor then mentioned the lease which links the production tool to the community that owns the walls: "I explained the advantages of the file, in particular the approval file which is ready to be submitted to the veterinary services department. In the judicial administrator's assistance mission, the title operator Slimani must now provide the guarantee that he really wants to file the case. I said as mayor that I believe in a slaughterhouse with an annual capacity of 3,000 tonnes which meets the needs of local farmers. This economic model makes sense with the project that short-circuit farmers have."
