Getting a mammogram is possible without having to make an appointment thanks to this truck that accompanies, for two days, all women between 50 and 74 years old.

This Thursday, August 22, more than sixty women aged between 50 and 74 showed up at the mammomobile, a brand new truck that allows everyone to get a breast cancer screening, without making an appointment, and completely free of charge. The initiative is being repeated this Friday, August 23 from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. You must therefore go to Allée Baroncelli, in front of Parc Jean-Hugo, with your identity card and health card.

Screening for all women, without inequalities

The mammogram lasts about 20 minutes, with first the passage to the mammograph carried out by the radiographer Lana Vacher. Then, the gynecologist Nathalie Cassel performs a physical examination of the breast, which is finally inspected by two radiology readings. It should be noted that all women can go to the mammomobile, even if they are not part of the Hérault department.
